Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 2012 Exhibition

I am delighted that my painting Sentinels 2 has been selected for the RI 2012 Exhibition.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours is one of the oldest societies of professional watercolour painters. The aims of the society are: to promote painting in watercolours; to encourage the use and development of water based mediums and to present the work of its best exponents in its annual exhibitions. The RI is based in London but its members come from all over the UK and beyond.

This is not our bicentennial year but the 200th exhibition held in London by the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours since the society's founding in 1831.

Royal Watercolour Society 2012 Exhibition

I am so happy that my painting Paradise has been selected for the the RWS 2012 Exhibition.

The Royal Watercolour Society represents the finest contemporary watercolour painting in Britain. The Society is the centre of excellence for water based media on paper, which allows for a diverse and interesting range of approaches to the medium of watercolour.

The RWS mounts two major exhibitions each year at Bankside Gallery, and regularly shows at other venues around the country. RWS exhibitions reflect the variety of exciting and eclectic work being produced by our Members. Whether artist, student, art lover or collector you will find much of interest here. Magazine Feature

Happy New Year to everyone! I was contacted last summer by a lovely journalist who wanted to come and interview me for the French magazine Pratique des Arts' watercolour special. I was happy to obligue and this is the result! One of my paintings features ont he cover and there is an article inside. The article is in French so I am not entirely sure what is being said! It shows some of my work and explains some of the techniques I use, I am very happy with it! Watercolour batik

I have been working on some watercolour batiks, a process of building layers of wax and paint in order to make your painting. The painting is finally revealed when you remove the wax, I love the effect. Both of these pieces are 12 x 12cm. Hope you like them.

National Watercolor Society 91st Annual Exhibition

I am absolutely thrilled to have found out today that my watercolour "Covent Garden Sentinels 3" has been juried into the NWS 91st Annual Exhibition. To say I am happy is an understatement!

Society of Women Artists 150th Celebratory Exhibition 2011

I am very pleased to have found out that my painting Covent Garden Sentinels II has been selected to take part in this years SWA exhibition. The Society of Women Artists 150th Celebratory Exhibition, will take place at The Mall Galleries, London, SW1, from 30 June to 9 July 2011. The exhibition will be opened at the private view on 30 June 2011 by the Society's Patron HRH Princess Michael of Kent.

Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 2011 Exhibition

We attended the private view of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 199th Exhibition 2011 private view yesterday. We had a great afternoon looking around and I was chuffed to see my work hanging in the main gallery :-) It was very busy and there was some beautiful work on show. I highly recommend a visit to the exhibit, it runs from 30 March - 10 April 2011 at the Mall Galleries, Pall Mall, London.
