I have been working on some watercolour batiks, a process of building layers of wax and paint in order to make your painting. The painting is finally revealed when you remove the wax, I love the effect. Both of these pieces are 12 x 12cm. Hope you like them.

Wonderful textures in both of these. I enjoyed them both. I also like the "Paradise" painting you are working on.
Amanda,
Your batiks are stunning! Congrats on NWS entry too. What a striking painting.
Love these! I have been "messing about" with watercolor batiks as well, so I appreciate your work. I will be giving a workshop on the process next month. Can't wait to share. It seems as if more of us are "playing" with wax! Love your work!
Wonderful! Love the effects these make, need to try one for myself!
These are fantastic, hard to beat the look. I first saw the technique with Sandy Maudlin ^^^ and I'm seeing it more and more. Great pieces Amanda!
